The School of Science, Engineering, and Technology (SET) at St. Mary's University, a private, four-year Catholic Marianist University located in San Antonio, Texas, invites applications for a Full-time, non-tenure track, Instructor of Mechanical Engineering position with the ability to teach a broad range of courses across an undergraduate (freshman and sophomore level) Mechanical Engineering curriculum, including but not limited to Introduction to Engineering, Engineering Graphics and Design and Programming for Engineers.  The position will be available as early as August 2019.  This position requires a minimum of a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field, and a commitment to excellence in teaching, program development and evaluation, teamwork and service.  The successful candidate will have experience in higher education instruction and program development/evaluation, with strong teamwork skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively.

The Engineering Department houses seven engineering majors in Engineering with over 300 students across different majors.  The position also provides support to the other engineering majors within the Department.  For more information about the Department refer to the webpage at   The successful candidate will demonstrate the following personal attributes: strong oral and written communication skills; highly organized; proactive; capable of working independently, yet able to work in a team; the ability to establish rapport with a range of constituents across the campus; and the ability to work with a diverse student body in a multicultural environment.
