20hrs week; Monday - Friday


This position will contribute to the development and piloting of Community-based Research (CBR) as there is an increased capacity for CBR activities.

 **Position is funded under Title V PPOHA Project Grant.  Approved in 2017 (12 months, Part Time - 20hrs a week, Years 4-5).

RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Supervise part-time CBR Staff;
  • Organize CBR Staff to achieve efficient achievement of program goals;
  • Distribute information regarding CBR opportunities and activities;
  • Develop relationships with San Antonio-area community organizations and non-profits to increase capacity for CBR activities;
  • Organize communication regarding Excellence in Mentoring Grants (EMGs) to St. Mary's faculty and eligible graduate students;
  • other duties as assigned

 

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Education, Communications, or related field; Master's degree preferred.

 

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of three years' experience with community-related engagement preferred.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong organizational and communication skills with ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple complex projects
  • Supervisory experience
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Knowledge of event planning practices and techniques
  • Knowledge of marketing and promotional practices
  • Experience working with non-profit community organizations
  • Demonstrated ability in public speaking to include academic presentations
  • Experience building community-based education/evaluation programs
  • Commitment to Title V PPOHA goals as demonstrated by previous employment/educational activities
