The Department of English & Communication Studies, St. Mary's University, San Antonio, Texas, invites applications for a tenure-track, Assistant Professor for Fall 2018 in American literature to teach courses including realism, naturalism, and the twentieth-century. Suitable candidates must possess teaching experience and proven research potential in the field.

Teaching duties will include core literature, composition, and upper-division and MA level courses. Experience with digital pedagogies and a commitment to service and student advising are required. PhD required by August 2018.

Applicants should be willing to contribute to and support the St. Mary's University Mission Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate an interest in affiliating with the University's Center for Catholic Studies, which will explore a wide range of human issues across disciplinary boundaries, and in a global context.
