The Greehey School of Business at St. Mary's University invites applications for an assistant professor of Finance with a start date of August 2018. The desired applicant should hold a Ph.D. or an equivalent terminal degree from an AACSB accredited University with major concentration in areas related to Finance and Investments. Teaching, professional experience, or research in portfolio management, market analysis, financial modeling, and corporate finance is desired. ABD will be considered.


The position is one of five finance and risk management faculty positions in the Finance and Quantitative Management Department.  The finance faculty provides core courses common to all business majors and teaches courses for the undergraduate major in Finance & Risk Management.  At the graduate level, the faculty provides instruction in corporate finance to students enrolled in the MBA program.  


The Greehey School of Business maintains a $1.8 million investment portfolio managed by students enrolled in multiple finance and investments courses.   The School also has 12 Bloomberg terminals which are used in coursework and for student certification.


The Greehey School of Business is AACSB accredited.  It offers a BBA with majors in Accounting, Accounting and Data Analytics, Finance & Risk Management, Management, Marketing, International Business, and Entrepreneurial Studies.  At the graduate level, the school offers an 18-month cohort based Greehey MBA, and a part-time MBA with an Accounting Concentration. A new part-time MBA for Professionals (MBAP) will be offered in the fall of 2017.
