The Greehey School of Business at St. Mary's University, a premier institution, invites applications for a non-tenure-track position as Lecturer starting August 1, 2022. Ideal candidates should hold a Master's degree or higher (PhD preferred, but ABD will also be considered). Preference will be given to candidates able to teach across multiple instructional modalities at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and who demonstrate an interest in and the capacity to connect our students with industry professionals. Ideal candidates will have some experience teaching at the university level and industry experience in marketing (though industry experience in management and international business will also be considered). The successful candidate should be able to teach in more than one of the following areas including: principles of marketing, foundations of business, organizational behavior and business communication. The Greehey School of Business also appreciates the incorporation of experiential or service-learning projects as part of the instructional approach.


The position is housed in the Department of Management and Marketing in the Greehey School of Business. The Department serves three majors: marketing, management and international business. Faculty in the department also teach core courses common to all business majors. At the graduate level, faculty members provide instruction to students enrolled in the School's two MBA programs. In addition to their commitment to excellence in teaching and service, successful faculty members are also open to interaction with industry professionals for the benefit of students.


The Greehey School of Business is AACSB accredited. At the undergraduate level, it offers a BBA with majors in Accounting, Accounting and Data Analytics, Finance and Risk Management, Management, Marketing, and International Business. At the graduate level, the school offers an 18-month cohort-based Greehey MBA, and an MBA for Professionals (MBA-P). Class sizes are small with an average faculty to student ratio of 1:17. The Greehey School of Business enrolls just under 700 students. The School has an excellent reputation for academic quality and has a very successful alumni base that is engaged with the School and the University. San Antonio is one of the top ten fastest growing cities in the country with the San Antonio-Austin corridor described as the "New Major Metropolis" by major news media.
